The cost of daycare and preschool in Seattle varies, but high-quality child care is often a significant expense for families. At Pike Market Child Care & Preschool, we keep care affordable through a sliding fee scale and child care assistance programs, so tuition is based on each family’s situation.
Please check out our Enrollment page to see our monthly rates for the Full Cost of Care.
Based on your family size and income, and your eligibility for vouchers and subsidies, your family’s out of pocket costs may be reduced by 25-100%.
PMCCP commits up to 65% of our enrollment to being accessible to families who are eligible for our sliding fee scale, and/or using vouchers or subsidies.
The gap between the Full Cost of Care Rate and the rates of the subsidy programs accepted and the sliding scale rates offered and are covered by donations, grants and fundraising.
Rates are reviewed and adjusted annually each September.

PMCCP enrolls new children as space is available year round, though the majority of openings occur in summer and fall as our oldest students leave for kindergarten. Whenever a spot becomes available, we identify families from the waiting pool whose needs match the opening and contact them, with a timeline to accept.
PMCCP holds up to 65% of our enrollment to be accessible to families who are eligible for our sliding fee scale, and/or using vouchers or subsidies. When matching a family to an opening, priority is also given to children needing full-time care, siblings of currently enrolled children, and families who work in the Market.

We close for two weeks for a winter break and for a week before school starts in September for professional development and to clean and refresh our environments before a new school year begins.
