At Pike Market Child Care & Preschool, we believe every child deserves access to nurturing, high-quality education. Our early learning programs provide Seattle families with trusted daycare and preschool in downtown Seattle, serving children from infancy through age five. As a nonprofit child care center, we’re committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming environment where all families can belong and thrive.

Our Early Learning Program

“The staff are all so generous and warm and the teacher so in-tuned with our individual children, as well as informed and up to date on child development in general. It really feels like dropping my daughter off with family.”

— Aurelia, PMCCP Parent

More Than Daycare

At Pike Market Child Care & Preschool, we provide far more than daycare. We are an early learning community where children are recognized as capable, creative learners, and where teachers partner with families to co-create meaningful learning.

Our program emphasizes social, emotional, and academic growth in an environment built on equity, belonging, and respect. Families find not just child care, but a place where children thrive, families feel supported, and lasting community is built.

Our Program Includes:

A Continuum of Care from Infants to Preschoolers

Our program grows alongside your child. From infant daycare, to toddler classrooms, to preschool learning, families find a consistent, caring downtown Seattle community at Pike Market Child Care & Preschool. With smaller group sizes and strong relationships between teachers and children, our classrooms support social, emotional, and academic development every step of the way.

Inclusive Learning for Every Child

Children learn best when they feel safe, seen, and valued. At PMCCP, our teachers create environments that encourage curiosity, creativity, and connection. With the support of multi-lingual teachers and a commitment to equity, children experience learning that reflects and celebrates their diverse identities.

Whole Foods for Healthy Growth

Nutritious meals are an essential part of learning and growing. Our program provides healthy, home-cooked foods served family-style and always included with tuition. From breakfast to snacks, children enjoy meals that fuel their bodies, build healthy habits, and strengthen the sense of community at the table.

How It Works

Based on their age, children are enrolled in one of five classrooms where they will be supported by a collaborative team of trained teachers. Sweet Peas is our infant room, Busy Bees and Blue Skies are toddler rooms, and Moon Beams and Rainbow Birds are our preschool classrooms. To build and sustain community, children move up to the next classroom as a cohort, often accompanied by one or more of their teachers.

Why Families Choose PMCCP

Families choose PMCCP because we are more than a daycare — we are a community-centric nonprofit providing high-quality and inclusive early learning to children and families in downtown Seattle. With affordable tuition options, fundraising that supports up to 65% of families with tuition assistance, and partnerships that strengthen the downtown Seattle community, we ensure that quality care and education remain accessible to all.
