We are dedicating this year’s parade to the memory of PMCCP’s advocate and supporter, DeeAnn Burman, who was instrumental in leading the advocacy efforts for launching our newly remodeled playground and outdoor learning space. PMCCP's mission is to make high-quality early learning and healthy nutrition accessible to families of all backgrounds, regardless of income. WALK contributions will continue to support our school in creating a community of belonging rich in racial, socioeconomic, gender, and language diversity. Your contribution makes it possible for us to fulfill a crucial part of our mission in assisting PMCCP families in need of tuition support.

Who We Are
Since its establishment in 1982, Pike Market Child Care and Preschool (PMCCP) has been guided by the principle that every family deserves access to high-quality early learning, with a commitment to equity at the core of our mission in our urban Pike Market community. Here are some of our historical and recent accomplishments:
Our nutritious meal program served 27,100 total meals in 2023.
In 2023, we provided up to $203,480 in tuition assistance. Our program addresses the social determinants of health by providing economic stability to families through tuition and advocacy support, in a nurturing environment, that's safe and inclusive.
At PMCCP, high-quality early learning translates to smaller class sizes, lower teacher-to-student ratios, a child-centered anti-bias curriculum, and equitable compensation, benefits, and professional development for our talented teachers.
We follow the ten program standards set by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
We are able to fulfill our mission by relying heavily upon the generous financial support of individuals, foundations, corporations, small businesses, and our neighbors. Community support, donations, and grants are what make this crucial work possible, and we are so grateful to continue to foster a vibrant community in the Market comprised of remarkable little humans and grown-ups!
